Lakeview House
A 1960s mid-century residence with original ceilings as low as 7'4" and no space for conventional ductwork — high-velocity small-diameter distribution threaded through the existing structure without a single interior alteration.

The Unico System air handler was installed in a crawl space that had previously been inaccessible. A reinforced platform was engineered at minimal cost, and all routing was designed before demolition so the owner could see the final path prior to any work beginning.

Two-inch flexible ducts were routed through existing wall cavities, requiring only 2.5" round outlets — smaller than the original baseboard registers they replaced. The original hardwood floors and plaster walls remained untouched throughout.

Supply outlets were positioned in consultation with the interior designer's furniture plan — oriented to avoid drafts across seating areas and to provide aspirating airflow that eliminates stratification in the double-height living room.
